At Willenhall Tube and Forging Co. Ltd., we have made a commitment that care of the environment will always be an integral part of our business strategy. Our Environmental aims and practices will at all times be available to all interested parties and we will seek to achieve the highest standards in environmental performance through constantly evolving methods and practices in conjunction with an effective system of continuous improvement.

All aspects as detailed in this policy and in our environmental system will be considered during all stages of planning, product specification, capital expenditure and operating processes.

More specifically Willenhall Tube and Forging Co. Ltd., will:

  • Ensure compliance with existing and future legislation, codes and standards.
  • Implement energy efficiency measures that secure environmental benefits.
  • Minimise the production of waste, recycle or re-use wherever practical and dispose of necessary waste in a safe, controlled and environmentally friendly manner.
  • Seek reductions in emissions to the atmosphere from all sources.
  • Monitor and limit the consumption of water.
  • Consider environmental impacts in the design of new products, processes and methods of packaging.
  • Be pro-active in the limitation of noise disturbance to the local community.
  • Regularly review this policy and all related systems to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
  • Communicate this policy to employees, the local community, the local authority and all other interested parties.
  • Wherever practical only source supplies and services from third parties which are environmentally aware.
  • Promote organisational methods and management procedures which provide an environmental management system to which we will audit ourselves.
  • The Environmental Policy, is agreed by the Directors and Senior Management, and the Manager responsible for environmental affairs has the specific role of coordinating the Environmental Management Steering Committee.

This Environmental Policy and its stated objectives have been designed to comply with the requirements of the relevant sections of the Eco-Management Audit Scheme (EMAS).
